New series on war in Uganda in the Washington Post
A great article on the incredibly difficult decisions facing those who have been affected by the war in Uganda ran in the Washington Post this morning - check it out here.
As part of their "Seeds of Peace" series focusing on the immense challenges confronting northern Ugandans as they are trapped between war and peace, the Post today focused on the plight of former child soldiers attempting to reintegrate into their communities.
You can see the whole series here.
It's estimated that nearly 60,000 children have been abducted by the rebel LRA in the course of this war, and with the signing of a peace agreement stalled yet again, the LRA has once again started abducting kids to turn them into killers.
These kids are the faces and stories that motivate the work that we're doing and we're so grateful that you all are with us as we work to finally bring this war to an end.
